Meet the Coaches:
Coach Paul McWhirter
Paul McWhirter was a standout high school football player (Fort Mill HS / Fort Mill, SC). Boxing and Tae Kwon Doe round out his youth athletic career. After high school, Paul earned a BS in finance and marketing from the University of South Carolina, and his MBA from the University of Houston. As an undergraduate student at USC, Paul served as Vice President of USC’s Club Boxing program.
Paul’s basketball coaching experience started in local youth recreation programs. In an effort to ‘raise the bar’ for girls basketball locally, Paul organized and coached The Woodlands Hurricanes – a highly accomplished select team comprised of girls in the class of 2012 & 2013. In spring 2008, Paul led his 13U team to a 2nd place finish the AAU Gulf Coast National Qualifier, and placed 4th in Prime Time Nationals last summer.
Paul and his family reside in The Woodlands, TX. Paul is an executive at Shell Oil and coached in the CUTtheNETS™ program since its inception in 2006. |
