Coach Brad Ball

Brad Ball is the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Tomball High School. Since taking over the Cougar Basketball program, Brad's teams have averaged nearly 20 wins per season and over 20 the past five years. Highlights of Ball's tenure include several play-off appearances and a 13-5A District Championship in 2009. Brad was also named the 13-5A Coach of the Year that season.

Brad is extremely active in the Texas basketball community. He was named President of the Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association (HABCA) for the 2009-10 season after having served on the HABCA Board of Directors the previous four years. He is currently a member and serving on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. He is currently the Region 2 4A/5A Representative.

During his coaching career, Brad has worked at different levels of the game, with stops at the NCAA Division 1 level, the junior college ranks as well as at the high school level. Brad's teams have consistently overachieved and performed above expectations. During his career, Brad has coached a number of players who have gone on to play college & professional basketball including AJ Abrams (Texas / Italy) and Jimmy Butler (Marquette / Chicago Bulls).

Brad is a graduate of the University of Kansas and holds a Masters degree from The University of Texas at Austin. His family includes his wife Anne and children Tanner and Avery.
