Coach Will Burkholder
Burkholder is a 1993 graduate of UNC Charlotte, with BA in English. He’s a former basketball player and letterman at UNC Charlotte, and was awarded a spot on the Metro Conference Commissioner's List for Academic Excellence.
Burkholder later became an assistant coach for two years under former 5-time NBA All-Star Jeff Mullins at UNC Charlotte, helping the team become the 1995 Metro Conference Regular Season Champions, earning an at-large bid in the 1995 NCAA Tournament, and finish sixth in the 1996 inaugural season of Conference USA.
After leaving UNC Charlotte when Mullins retired, Burkholder became an assistant coach to Jerry Faulkner (33-year career, 704-224 lifetime record) at Charlotte Latin School, where he taught English and helped the team to the semifinals of the 1997 NCISAA Tournament and a 25 - 6 record. He also worked with Coach Faulkner prior to becoming an UNC Charlotte assistant, helping the team to a 27-1 record and the 1993 NCISAA State Championship.
