PROGRAM OVERVIEW :

Players will be divided by gender, age, & ability for biweekly drill sessions & games.  CUTtheNETS™ goal is to construct programs benefitting aspiring, hard working, and talented players.

Because advanced concepts are taught, CUTtheNETS™ discourages 1st time or unattentive players.  Players with no previous basketball playing experience will not be admitted into the program.  Players who disrupt others are not tolerated.

2012 AAU ADDED-BENEFIT MEMBERSHIP:

All D-LEAGUE players MUST secure and submit an active 2012 AAU Added-Benefit Membership Card in order to participate.  No exceptions please.

WEEKDAY DRILL SESSION FEATURES:

  • D-LEAGUE biweekly drill sessions are Monday & Wednesday from 6:00-7:30p.
  • All drill sessions are conducted @ Woodlands Preparatory School.  (http://www.woodlandsprep.org)
  • Drill sessions are designed to enhance basketball IQ, fundamental skill, strength, & athleticism.

  • Individual & Team Fundamentals include:  shooting, ballhandling, perimeter play, post play, passing skills, motion concepts, rebounding, man-to-man defense.

  • Boys & girls programs operate separately unless low participation forces CUTtheNETS™ to combine gender programs.

  • All drill sessions are closed / private to ensure a focused and intense learning environment.  (Woodlands Prep cafeteria is available for parents, family & friends wishing to remain on-premise.)

  • Conducted by CUTtheNETS™ coaches.

FRIDAY GAME DETAILS:

  • All players will play one officated game.  CUTtheNETS™ coaches strive to provide players equal playing time.  This, however, is not guaranteed.

  • Players are divided and placed on a new team every game.  This provides the opportunity to play with & against different CUTtheNETS™ players.  Our goal is to allow players to experience different positions, roles, & on-court responsibilities.
  • Games are coached and officiated by CUTtheNETS™ coaches & top HS prospects currently training in the program.  (Parents wishing to volunteer coach on the CUTtheNETS™ staff can contact Will Burkholder at will@CUTtheNETS.com.)
  • Boys & girls programs operate separately unless low participation forces CUTtheNETS™ to combine genders.

  • All parents, family & friends are welcome to attend.

  • Friday Game times are announced weekly via Constant Contact emails & Facebook.
