Why are players required to join the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as an ‘Added Benefit' Member?
AAU membership provides CUTtheNETS™ subsidiary non-profit 501c3 status and the insurance necessary to safely operate. The AAU ‘AB’ Membership is $14 for the 2009-10 school calendar year. (Sept. 2009 – Aug. 2010) The ‘AB’ membership also provides general liability and sports accident coverage at non-AAU sanctioned events. (i.e. Primetime Tournaments)
